Atlas Hospitality is a hotel management group in Morocco, offering four- to five-star hotels under the following brands: Seaside Atlas Resorts, Atlas to live and Atlas Aqua Parc.
The company based in Casablanca started its operation in 1996 under the leadership of Mohamed Berrada. Mr. Berrada was at that time the general director and president of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), a company with 66% interest in Atlas Hospitality before all stakes were yielded to H-Partners Fund in 2010. Moroccan conglomerate SNI owns the remaining 34% stake of the hotel chain.
From having only two units during its inception, Atlas Hospitality has grown to 19 as of to-date and has become the second largest chain in Morocco. Among its significant openings from 2006 to 2007 includes one in Tangier which was promoted as “Atlas Rif Front Beach.” The years that followed have seen the group entering into strategic partnerships to expand its capacity. In 2010, it partnered with Somed Group to boost its logistics and management of three hotels in Tangier, Casablanca, and Agadir. It also partnered with Akwa Group to expand the room capacity of Agadir Marina. In 2015, its partnership with German FTI Group’s Meeting Point Hotel Management had provided Atlas Hospitality $55 million to build new hotels or acquire existing ones in different regions. The rest is history.
