Oberoi Hotels & Resorts is under the management of The Oberoi Group. The Oberoi Group is a hotel group based in Delhi. It was established in 1934 when RaiBahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi, original founder of the group, purchased two properties—the Maidens in Delhi and the Clarke’s in Shimla. These properties were the seeds he planted that eventually led to a full-grown international fruit-bearer. One of the most challenging things The Oberoi had to face down that road was the November 26 2008 terrorist attack. After mourning their celebrated staff and beloved guests, they bounced back in the industry and is now a company with 69 hotels under the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts brand and another 69 five-star properties under the Trident Hotels brand.
