Alma, Canada is a quaint town in the south eastern region of the Lac Saint-Jean in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Situated at the northern part of the country’s capital Quebec, Alma currently sits on the top two positions in terms of population. Alma offers the finest weather during the months of June to September. July is the busiest time of the year but the most number of festivals can be enjoyed during the month of August such as the Shambhala Music Festival and the Veld Music Festival.

There are plenty of iconic places to see in Alma. The Alma College is one of the earliest educational institutions in the town. It became an autonomous institution in 1980.
