About Astral Hotels Israel Aqaba
Founded by Eilat businessmen Asher Gabay and Benny Zerach, Astral Hotels Israel is a hotel chain that started in 1995. The brand very first hotel purchase in the Astral Nirvana and served as the brand’s flagship hotel. A second hotel was bought in 2001, Astral Coral and served as Astral Hotels second hotel located near the airport. Former Galey Eilat was purchased in 2003 and became Astral Maris. After three properties were already working under the brand, Astral Hotels finally earned the label “hotel chain” under the hospitality industry.
In 2005, former Moon Valley became Astral Village and became the fourth hotel under the Astral Hotels brand. Finally in 2010, the Astral Hotels Israel bought Marina Club and Astral Marina and was renamed Astral Palma. This fifth purchase was the first ever all-suite hotel purchase by Astral Hotels.
Last 2018, Astral Hotels bought and re-opened a former 25-room Motel 8 hotel along the Las Vegas Strip and reopened it in December of the same year. This year, 2019, Astral Hotels announced its plans of building a 34-storey hotel on the Motel 8 site with a casino and over 620 rooms to be completed in 2022. This new hotel will be known as Astral.
