Bagneres-de-Bigorre: A Hydro City
Tourists, since the ancient times, have come to visit the city of Bagneres-de-Bigorre, France for its hydrotherapy and its water resources. Its present name means 'bath', or in its former name, 'watery neighborhood'. It is located at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains on the banks of the river of Adour. Best Time to Visit
The city's climate mostly experiences rainfall and wet season, during dry season comes hot weather and storms. The busiest time of the year is during December to February, winter season, when tourists tend to visit for snow sports and activities. Expect higher Bagneres-de-Bigorre hotel rates during this season. As for a fairly ideal season, June to August are months that have comfortable weather which is ideal for a visit. The month of August also reels in the Street Arts Weekend Festival that attracts visitors as well.

For a winter experience, the Turon Ski Lift offers a trip up the mountains for winter sports. There is also the Super-Bareges Ski Lift for a similar offer. Tourists, however, do not miss on visiting the Aquensis, which is the well-being and spa center in the city. There are also great hotel accommodations in the city, the Carre Py Hotel, Hotel de la Paix, and the Chambre dhotes Le Belvedere, which offers exemplary services and amenities for tourists.
