Bakau, Gambia is a resort town located in the Kombo Saint Mary District. It is in the Western Coastal Region of the country. The capital city of Banjul is about 15 miles from the east and Bakau is considered the nearest holiday resort to the area. Within the proximity of Bakau is the Cape Point area. It is in the northern coastline area that is considered a spot where the Atlantic Ocean is meeting the Gambia River. Bakau is a desirable suburban area.
