The Beppu City Traditional Bamboo Centre was established in Beppu, Japan during 1994 to follow a tradition. The center is divided into two parts. The first floor displays crafts created by the living national treasure Syono Syounsai. You can learn the history of the crafts as well as how it is made. The second floor is a workshop center where craft masters will teach you how to create products such as coasters and flower baskets. Events are also organized in the workshop area where you can appreciate the beauty of different crafts made from bamboo being displayed.
