Centre Point
Centre Point is a large shopping destination located at the center of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. The Centre Point is considered as one of the earliest shopping malls established in the city together with Wisma Merdeka and Karamunsing Complex. The shopping center has unique stalls and boutiques for electronics, cosmetics and fashion retailers, and a couple of fast-food chains and cinemas. Equipped with an automatic scoring system, the center is also hosting several entertainment shows and outlets, such as CPS Bown, Family Recreation Center and The Cinemax. Another section is called the Palm Square located on the 4th floor, where it features high-speed passenger lifts and escalators and great entertainment value for families.
Kota Kinabalu is famed for its heritage sites that impacted the history of Malaysia. One of them is the Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village or simply called as Sabah State Museum, a 17-hectare heritage site that was established in July 1965 in the efforts of the Sabah Society. The village contains an ethnobotanical garden and a zoo. The galleries also include Islamic civilization and Sabah's ceramics and brassware. Kota Kinabalu Wetland Centre is a 24-hectare wetland for mangrove preservation. The center plays such a huge role in providing refuge and feeding grounds for faunas residing within the area, especially the migratory birds from Northern Asia. To enjoy these places, the nearest hotels would be the Switz Paradise Hotel and Hotel Deleeton, which offer high-quality services and well-lighted furnishings and guestrooms. They also provided concierge services, like ironing, laundry, and luggage storage facilities.
