Crucecita: “Small Cross” Town
Crucecita, Mexico means “Small Cross”. Along with Tangolunda and Santa Cruz, the resort area is known collectively as Huatulco. It is part of the Oaxaca state. It is the community that is close to the bay and about 6 miles from the famous Federal Highway 200. The town has developed into a tourism area. The Parroquia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe is the famous town church located at the town center. This is where the painted image of the Virgin of Guadalupe is situated. The said image is about 20 meters tall and the largest in the world. Bahais De Huatulco International Airport (HUX) is about 18 minutes away from the town.
Best Time to Visit
According to the climate of the region, the best time to visit Crucecita is between December and April. It is considered the peak season for the town which means Crucecity, Mexico hotels are fully booked during this time for the year. The most important event of the town is the Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
