Chiayi Airport with code CYI is located in Chiayi, Taiwan. It is also known as Shueishang Airport. The facilities of the airport include two runways and it is classified as a civilian airport. The facility is next to the Chiayi Airbase which is being used by the military. Today, the airport is considered a gateway to Alishan National Scenic Area which is considered as a popular tourist destination in the country. The airport opened its door to the public in 1976. Unfortunately, the airport was affected by a newly built high-speed train. The main operator of the facility is the Uni Air.
