Fuji, Japan is one of the most popular cities in the country located in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is the third most populous city in the region and home to the famous Mount Fuji. The region is also bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Suruga Bay, making it one of the most preferred tourist destinations in Japan. The best time of the year to enjoy Fuji is during late spring from March to May as well as late autumn from September to November. As the sun goes down into the afternoon, the peak becomes harder to see.

A beautiful landscaped area can be also enjoyed in the vicinity. The Iwamotoyama Park is also a great place to check where most of the cherry blossoms can be enjoyed during its bloom season.
To enjoy overlooking views of the scenic areas in the region, staying at the Fuji Park Hotel would be ideal. It is located a few miles from Mount Fuji as well as the Fuji Safari Park. The Kuretake Inn Fujisan located near the train station is also a modern accommodation to consider. It is close to several Shinto Shrines and local attractions in the area.
