CP Hotels or most commonly known as the Canadian Pacific Hotels is a sub-group of the Canadian Pacific Railway company. It is a specific arm of CPR, which specifically manages chains of hotels and resorts in Canada. In the recent years, CP Hotels have been operated under Fairmont. CPR Hotels has established two kinds of hotels. The urban hotels are located in major passenger railways in the cities. The other type of hotel is the rural resort hotels, which are mostly in other CPR railway location with beautiful and attractive sceneries. These serve as a selling point for the company as it is marketed as tourist destinations. Some were Stationary dining cars for travelling passengers to eat and rest before they continue their journey.
There is a noticeable distinct characteristic in each but follows a standard material. Most of the CP hotels are design inspired by European castles. Some of the known establishment of CP hotels are the Chateau Montebello which has been the largest for a long time. There were also the Algonquin in St. Andrews and the New Brunswick which is a hotel that was not originally constructed by CPR. Their hotels offer scenic mountain views and many mineral hot springs.
