The Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is an airport situated northwest of Gdansk, Poland that handles domestic and international flights. It was opened in 1974 and is operated and managed by Port Lotniczy Gdańsk Spółka. It is name after a former Polish president, Lech Walesa in 2014 and is placed as third of the biggest airport in Poland. In 1930, Gdansk Wrzeszcz Airport, now known as Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, has handled less than two thousand passengers yearly but it is still an essential international hub for that provided transport facilities between the Polish cities.
