About Amrath Hotels Haagse Hout
Originally a retail premise, Amrath Hotels verged into the accommodation and hotel industry. Founded by G. van Eijl in 1978, he began investing in properties and created a retail destination with small offices within the properties. He then began expanding the business by adding restaurants and bars in the property. After some years of experience, he expanded the business into one of the most monumental Dutch properties.
Employed as the Marketing Manager of the Amsterdam agency McCann-Erickson, he eventually left his job and focused on his properties instead. He bought the Slotania Hotel in Amsterdam and the Gooiland Complex in Hilversum. By 1998, he bought the Shippinghouse and turned the property into a charismatic and stunning five-star hotel.
This was indeed the start of starting big for the Eigl family. He named his hotel chains after his mother, Amrath, a name that originated from France. At present, the brand carries 15 hotels under the three, four and five star categories in Netherlands. Centrally located in major destinations and cities in the Netherlands, every room is equipped with the best facilities to make your stay the most remarkable. The business is still lead by it founder and Commissioner, Mr. G. van Eijl with Mr K. van Eijl as the managing director.
