The perfect time to visit Hanno is from April through July, for the best weather. Peak tourist season is usually during April, January, and March. Tourists are least likely to visit in December. One of the most anticipated events in the city is the Hanno Spring Festival, which is held every March or April. It is a cherry blossom festival featuring campfires, food stalls, stage performances, and many family-oriented activities.

One of the most prominent attractions in Hanno JP is the Saitama Super Arena, a multipurpose indoor arena inaugurated in 2000. With a maximum capacity of 36,500 spectators, it is the fourth biggest indoor arena worldwide. Tourists should also visit the Honmaru Goten (Kawagoe Castle), which was declared a Tangible Cultural Property in 1967. What remains of it now are only the primary hall and a tower.
