Harborview Center, Clearwater, Florida, United States of America
Harborview Center located in Clearwater, Florida is one of the most talked-about landmarks in the area, especially on March 29, 2019, when it was demolished. The Harborview center opened in 1961 and has then become a host to many affairs, including as a venue of the Maas Brothers’ department store. Aside from the business, the center also provided venues for a huge number of national and international events, trade shows, conferences, and more. However, it was decided to demolish the building in 2019, after the 2017 Imagine Clearwater plan was put in effect. This plan aims to transform the waterfront into a thriving community with residential and commercial developments.
Only minutes from Largo, Dunedin, and other Florida Cities, the Harborview center is surrounded by many interesting attractions and landmarks. Businesses and hotels are scattered around the area as well. One popular hotel with a pool and fitness center is Residence Inn By Mariott Clearwater Downtown. The family- and business-friendly hotel features modern units with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Feel right at home even more with in-room television and high-speed W-Fi. Clear Country Club and Sand Key Park are just some of the attractions located less than 2 miles away. Another favorite choice of travelers is Chart House Suites on Clearwater Bay. This bayfront property is only 5 minutes from the nearest beach, Clearwater Beach. Some suites of the property have a kitchenette, but all have TV and Wi-Fi. A swimming pool and parking are onsite as well for a more enjoyable and convenient stay. Chart House is only a few minutes away to many attractions, including the Dunedin Fine Art Center and Florida Auto Exchange Museum.
