Reynolds Field Airport – JXN
Also referred to as Jackson County Airport, Reynolds Field Airport is a public airport owned by the county. It can be found at about four kilometers from the western side of Jackson, Michigan. JXN-Jackson County Airport is categorized by the Federal Aviation Administration as a regional general aviation facility. The public airport serves the county of Jackson and some nearby cities as well.
Best Time to Visit
Currently, the airport houses the Jackson College Flight Center and the Prestige Aircraft Company LLC, which manufactures light-sport aircraft. JXN’s land area covers about 280 hectares and stands at 305 meters above mean sea level. There are two asphalt-paved runways in the airfield, one of which stretches to 1,630 meters and the other to 1,219 meters. In 2010, JXN served as a base for 109 aircraft, 85 of which were single-engine. During this year, the aircraft operations averaged at 139 daily, totaling to over 56,000 general aviation activities at the end of the year. You can easily reach Scio, Ann Arbor, and Dexter from Reynolds Field Airport.
