Katsuura: The Home of One of Japan’s Top 3 Morning Markets
Found within the prefecture of Chiba, Katsuura, Japan is a city with over 20,000 residents. It is popular in the area for its fishing port, where a huge morning market is held daily. The town is also home to thriving sub-tropical vegetation, thanks to its strategic location near the Pacific Ocean.
Best Time to Visit
The Large Catch Festival in Katsuura is held in the town for four days every mid-September. During the event, guests can see a ship parade along the coast, representing the 19 districts in the area.
