Katowice Airport is an international airport that serves the Katowice, Poland, the Silesian Metropolis, and the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Area. The very first international flight was done through German carrier Lufthansa in 1993. An additional terminal, Terminal B was opened in 2007. Katowice Airport has three passenger terminals plus a cargo terminal. There are future plans to add another passenger terminal and further expand the cargo terminal.
