Lanester: A Picture-Perfect River Town
A French river city situated on the banks of the confluence of Scorff and Blavet Rivers is Lanester. Its history dates back all the way from the early 1900s. The city’s name was derived from “lann er ster” which is Breton for “the health river.” Lanester, France has revived the previously mentioned language and is one of the city’s official languages apart from French.
Best Time to Visit
Lanester, France, like the majority of the country and other European cities, is best visited during the middle of the year of months June and July when it is the warmest and driest. However, these are also the months when there are high influxes in the number of visitors and Lanester hotels are expensive. You can come around April when the weather is still slightly favorable and the Festival Insolent – a reggae music festival, is taking place.
