Laurel: A Natural Wonder in Batangas
Laurel, Philippines, is a third-class municipality in Batangas. It was named after Miguel Laurel, the first notable Laurel in the country. It was also named after Jose P. Laurel, a former Philippine President. Fish culture in Taal Lake is the primary economic driver in the municipality.

With a tropical monsoon climate, the perfect time to visit Laurel is during the months of January through April. Peak tourist season is usually during the months of February through April. Tourists are least likely to visit in September. One of the most popular nearby events is Parada ng Lechon in Balayan, which is held every June 24 or the Feast Day of San Juan. Lechon, a roasted pig, is one of the delicacies in the province. The locals munch Lechons after being paraded.
