Lopud Island: A Perfect Island Getaway
Lopud Island is one of the three islands in Elaphiti group of islands at Dalmatia coast in southern Croatia. The island is the most developed island and the second largest in terms of land area, and known as the “island in the middle” for its situated in the middle of Sipan and Kolocep. Lopud Island is a car-free community, which is surrounded by stone-built houses framed by exotic luscious garden and overlooking many ruins of castles and fortresses.

Lopud Island is popular for destination white sand beaches; one in particular is the Sunj Beach with bar serving the best-tasting grilled fish. Sailing along the marina for sightseeing, tourists will find the 15th century Franciscan Monastery that features a 30-meter bell tower and ancient altarpiece. Further in the seaside is the Dordic-Mayneri Park, a botanical garden ideal for nature tripping.
