Metrocentre, renamed as intu Metrocentre, is a shopping center lying in the town of Gateshead, England, UK. With over 370 shops and more than 50 eateries, it is the second-largest of its kind in the United Kingdom, following Westfield Stratford City in London. Numerous big retail chains and major fashion retailers are housed at the property, with some of them being H&M, Topshop, New Look, River Island, Waterstones, Boots, and many more. And besides being a shopping destination, Metrocentre is also a go-to place for family entertainment as it has indoor and outdoor play areas.

Metrocentre is made up of five main malls that go by the name Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Platinum, which were established one at a time. The shopping center is situated in an area where several excellent hotels proudly stand. Two of the nearest ones are the Newcastle Gateshead Marriott Hotel Metrocentre and The Royal Hotel.
