From June to August, the town is perfect for walking tours. Every July, a jazz festival is held in the amphitheater found at the heart of the town. On the other hand, skiing is the most famous activity during winter time. Between the two seasons, winter is less crowded and have cheaper rates for Monforte d’Alba hotels.

Just outside the outskirts of Montforte d’Alba is the Barola Wine Area. This is the place where the amazing Piemontese Red Wine is produced. You can also try other local wines so hurry on and book a tour because slots get taken very easily. The Horszowski Auditorium is the amphitheater aforementioned before where live events and concerts are held. You can also check out the Chapel of Barolo, quirky chapel painted with various colors. A former 18th century villa turned now-hotel is the four-star Hotel Villa Beccaris. It has a wine bar and an outdoor pool. Another four-star accommodation but this time an apartment-style is Anfiteatro Apartments which also has an outdoor pool and a fitness center. For something within a small budget range, the Arco dei Nobili is the place to go.
