Narita International Airport is public airport with an airport code NKT, located in Narita, Japan just 60 kilometers from the center of Tokyo. It is an international airport operated by Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA) servicing the greater Tokyo Area. The airport handles half of Japan’s international passengers and 60% of its cargo shipments. As of 2016, Narita International Airport is the second busiest domestic and international passenger airport in Japan, next to Haneda Airport, and ranked 10th in terms of cargo shipments in the world. It is also major international station of All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Nippon Cargo Airlines.

Narita International Airport has two asphalt runways, and its main 4,000 main runway has the record of the second longest runway in Japan. The airport was one of the first to have aligned with the airline alliances of Sky Team, Star Alliance and Oneworld. Narita International Airport is being serviced by 92 airline companies to over 200 domestic and international destinations. It also caters to 29 cargo airlines to 40 destinations. The busiest international routes are to Helsinki, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam.
