Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport - QYD Gdynia
The Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport is located within the city of Gdynia, Poland. The airport, which has an IATA code of QYD is also referred to as the Gdynia-Oksywie Airport and serves as northern Poland’s military base and civil airport. Currently, the civil terminal is still under construction, so most of the activity is concentrate on the military airfield. The government is currently developing the QYD Gdynia Airport as an alternate airport to the neighboring Rebiechowo Airport to improve Gdynia’s economy and tourism.
Best Time to Visit
The Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport has a concrete runway measuring 8,203 feet. The airport used to handle flights to and from Budapest, Milan, Venice, Copenhagen, and Warsow when it first opened. Close to the airport is a railroad line. At present, the airport isn’t functional for either passenger or cargo operations. Some of the best cities to explore from the Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport are Borkowo Lostowickie and Lublewo Gdanskie.

Though the Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport is currently not functional as a civil airport, it is surrounded by unique hotel options that offer both comfort and convenience.
