Rzhevka Airport- RVH
Located in Leningrad Oblast, Rzhevka Airport is a public-use airport found 15 kilometers east of the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia, the country’s second-biggest city. It was the primary gateway to Saint Petersburg via air and served this city and other neighboring towns. The Rzhevka Airport was assigned the International Air Transport Association (IATA) location identifier of RVH and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) location identifier of ULSS.
Best Time to Visit
The airport resides at an elevation of 19 meters above the mean sea level. There is only one runway in the area, designated as 06/24 and is covered by asphalt. It spans to a length of 1,800 meters and can only accommodate small aircraft.Rzhevka Airport was closed down in 2007, during which the airstrips were transformed into a dealer car parking. The apron housed a Soviet-made Il-14, and several otherabandoned smaller aircraft during this time as well. In 2015, the airfield was finally renovated and restored. Within 20 to 30 minutes from the airport, you can drive to the nearby towns of Novoye Devyatkino, Malaya Yablonovka, and Krasnogvardeysky District to explore the iconic landmarks in the area.

There is also another airport, which serves Saint Petersburg, the Pulkovo Airport. This airport, which is about 35 minutes from Rzhevka Airport, connects the town to various international destinations.
