Sakai: An Ancient City with Amazing Coastal Views
Bordered by Ihshikawa Prefecture and Awara City, Sakai is a city Fukui prefecture Japan, Sakai in situated in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. It is the Prefecture’s second most occupied city and the place where the oldest castle in Japan is located, the Marouka Castle. The castle’s land is a primary spot for cherry blossoms viewing and offers panoramic view of the town of Marouka. Sakai enjoys a humid climate and has a moderate temperature making it a favourable destination all year round. March to May is the most ideal months to travel to Sakai, Fukui for a moderately cold temperature with very little chances of rainfall perfect for great city exploration. Tourists may also visit Sakai in July to be part of the Annual Asahi Festival.
