Shenyang Taoxian Airport is one of the principal airports in North China. Located 20 kilometers from the city center, it ranks as one of the busiest airports in China with over 19 million passengers in 2018. The airport bearing the IATA code SHE opened in 1989 but its only operational terminal, the state-of-the-art Terminal 3 was completed in 2013.
