Shreveport Regional Hotel – SHV Louisiana
Owned by the City of Shreveport, Shreveport Regional Airport is classified by the FAA as a small hub airport, with a record of 282,501 enplanements for 2017. SHV Louisiana traces its roots back to Shreveport Downtown Airport, which was constructed in 1929. It initially operated as a hub for air carriers in Shreveport, Louisiana. Later on, the airport started serving commercial flights and in 1952, the Shreveport Regional Airport opened to serve commercial flights, leaving the Downtown Airport to cater to private and charter flights.

The Shreveport Regional Airport is known for its Fly Shreveport First campaign, which encourages Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas residents to fly from SHV Airport instead of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). SHV Airport has two levels and boasts of two asphalt-paved runways. It serves more than 40 arrivals from and departures to seven destinations every day through four airlines. SHV is the preferred airport when visiting places such as Bossier City, Doyline and Scottsville.
