Sin El Fil: Sing Praises for this Lovely Town
Just a short drive from the capital city Beirut, is the charming suburb of Sin El Fil, Lebanon. The town is accessible through the Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) which is only about 30 minutes away. Its name literally translates into “tooth of an elephant,” a reference to the elephant sanctuary found nearby. The town is successful when it comes to its agricultural industry while its tourism sector is slowly growing. Plenty of archeological sites are found all over the town.
Best Time to Visit
Sin El Fil has a dominant hot and humid weather throughout the entire year. It also rarely rains. The most recommended months to visit the town would be during the early months of the year or the latest. These are the months when the heat is bearable. Huge crowds of tourists usually comes during the latter months of the year so you may find Sin El Fil hotels to be more expensive. A so-called Blue Jeans Festival takes place in town every May.
