Son Bou: Home to the Beach of Golden Sand Shining Under the Sun
Son Bou, Spain is a tiny charming village divided into three districts: Son Bou, San Jaime, and Torre Soli Nou. The village has been turned into a resort town as its location is that of in the Menorca, Balearic Islands and is surrounded by the cobalt blue Mediterranean coast. Son Bou is about half an hour away from the Menorca Airport (MAH) which handles season flights to several European destinations.
Best Time to Visit
Like other towns and cities affected by a Mediterranean climate, Son Bou, Spain has long, dry summers and short, cozy winters. The favorable weather and temperature makes it a great place to visit all-year round. But it is most recommended to come in the middle of the year from June to August when there is plenty of sunshine to enjoy. However, these are also the months bustling with travelers and Son Bou hotels are more expensive. Many small and local music festivals are held next to the beach in town particularly during September.

Son Bou Beach stretches out for 2.5 kilometers and is considered to be the biggest and best beach in the island. Truly the perfect spot to be especially in summer. You can explore the nearby Xoroi Caves too. But Son Bou’s attractions are not limited to the coast. A visit to Taula de Torralba will increase your knowledge about the town’s historical past.
