Stuttgart Airport is an international airport located 8.1 miles south of Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg’s capital city. It also lies on the boundary of close towns Leinfelden-Echterdinge and Filderstadt. The busy airport ranked sixth in the most visited airport in Germany serving 10.5 million passengers based on 2015 statistics. Eurowings consider the airport as an important hub as it provides flights to European cities and Atlanta. The airport replaced Boblingen Airport in 1939.
