Shenzhen Airport – SZX Shenzhen
Shenzhen Airport, also known as Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, is located 32 kilometers northwest of Shenzhen city centre near Huangtian and Fuyong villages in the Bao’an District. It serves Shenzhen, China and is one of the three largest airport hubs that serve the Pearl River Delta, alongside the Hong Kong International Airport and the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

Opened on the 12th of October 1991, the SZX-Shenzhen Airport sits on an area of 2,700 acres (10.8 square kilometers). It has two concrete runways: the 11,155-foot (3,400 meters) 15/33 and the 12,467-foot (3,800 meters) 16/34. It originally had three terminals with a combined area of 152,000 square meters and 24 jetways. Terminals A and B were used for domestic flights, while Terminal D handled international ones. All three ceased operations and closed on November 27, 2013. In early 2008, construction began on a new, 1.6 kilometer (.99 miles) terminal dubbed Terminal 3. This terminal became operational on the 28th of November 2013, a day after the closure of the original terminals A, B, and D. With over 150 domestic and 21 international air routes and over 49 million passengers in 2018, SZX has become the fifth busiest airport in China.
