Trondheim Airport – TRD Vaernes
Trondheim Airport is a joint military and public airport in Trondheim, Norway. The facilities of the complex are shared by the Værnes Air Station of the Royal Norwegian Air Force and commercial airlines. Værnes was first used by the Royal Norwegian Army in 1887 while the first flight was in 1914. However, civilian aviation only started in 1951. In 2018, the airport with the code TRD registered a passenger flow of 4,441,870 thus making it the fourth busiestairport in Norway.

TRD-Trondheim Airport uses two main terminals. Terminal A accommodates domesticand regional traffic while B hosts international flights. The airport features three runways. Three major airlines use Trondheim Airport as their hub and it provides charter services to the Mediterranean. The airport links flights to 17 domestic and 21 international destinations. The busiest destinations originating from and going to Trondheim Airport are Oslo, Bergen, Copenhagen, Alesund, and Amsterdam. Aside from serving the city of Trondheim, the nearby towns of Heimdal and Tiller also have easy access to it.
