Berlin Tegel Airport – TXL Berlin
The Berlin Tegel Airport is known as the main international airport of Berlin and the fourth busiest airport in Germany. It is a major public airport that is located in Tegel, Reinickendorf, and serves the Berlin, Germany area. Its airport code, TXL, stands for Tegel. Before 1906, the area which is now the airport location was an artillery firing range and in 1906 a hangar was built for airships. During the Cold War the airport was built and served West Berlin. From 1960 onwards known airlines operated in the airport such as Air France and Pan American World Airways. As of 2018, the TXL airport has handled up to 2 million passengers.

The TXL-Berlin Tegel Airport is known for its hexagonal main terminal building around an open square. It consists of five terminals; A, B, C, D, and E. The airport is small yet often crowded.
