Wiang Pa Pao: Tranquility in the Temples
South of the Chiang Rai region, you will find the solemn countryside of Wiang Pa Pao, Thailand. Wiang Pa Pao experiences a tropical climate where it is hot all year-round, sometimes extremely so. Torrential rain showers and thunderstorms are also pretty violent during the middle of the year. It is most recommended to visit the town during the earliest months or the latest months of the year when it is mildly cooler than usual and there are less tourists in the area. Wat Pa Pao and Wat Phrathat Mae Chedi are really old and rare temples you can see for yourself. Also check out the famous and gigantic Golden Buddhas statue located in one of the town’s temples.
