Adıyaman Airport – ADF
Adıyaman Airport is a public-use airport operated by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority. It is situated just near the outskirts of the city of Adıyaman, Turkey, in the province of Adıyaman, about an 18-minute drive from the city center. Adiyaman Airport is assigned the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) location identifier of LTCP and International Air Transport Association (IATA) location identifier ADF.
Best Time to Visit
The airfield, which stands at an elevation of 675 meters above the mean sea level, features only a single runway with a length of 2,500 meters. Currently, the only airlines serving the airport are AnadoluJet and Turkish Airlines. They offer scheduled flights to Ankara Esenboğa Airport in Ankara and Istanbul Airport in Istanbul. In 2011, Adiyaman Airport handled a total of 46,443 domestic passengers, a 57% decrease from over 100,000 passengers accommodated the previous year. If you come into Adiyaman, make sure to explore the town of Nohutlu, as well, which is around a two-hour drive from the ADF-Adiyaman Airport.
