A tropical climate is prevalent at Akosombo which meant that the sun is seen for half of the year while rain is experienced the other half. It is best to visit the town any time of the year but avoid the months between June to September when the rain is heaviest and might disrupt your trip. Although these are the months with fewer tourists in town and Akosombo hotels are cheaper.
