Arlington, A Historic City on North Oregon
Located on the northernmost part of Oregon, Arlington is a city with just about 600 residents. It is under the rule of the Gilliam County and covers a land area of over six square kilometers. The town was believed to be named in honor of Nathan Arlington Cornish, a local lawyer. However, some claim that the city was actually called Arlington after a town in Virginia with the same name, which also happens to be the hometown of Robert E. Lee. Arlington, Oregon was originally called Alkali and was incorporated as a city in 1885.
