Ashgabat International Airport– ASB
The Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) is one of the three international airports in Turkmenistan. Formerly known as Saparmurat Türkmenbaşy International Airport, ASB is located approximately 6 miles northwest of the capital Ashgabat. The ASB-Ashgabat International Airport is owned by the Government of Turkmenistan and is operated by the Turkmenistan Airlines.

There are a number of excellent hotels near the Ashgabat International Airport. You can book at the upscale Yyldyz Hotel, which is near the airport. Most posh hotels are located further from the ASB, but they all offer free airport shuttles, like the Hotel Asia Khiva in nearby Khiva or the Hotel Malika Bukhara. The Omar Khayyam in Bukhara is also a nice option to stay.
