Astoria Regional Airport – AST Astoria
Astoria Regional Airport (AST) is a public airport located in Warrenton near Astoria, Oregon. This airport is under the jurisdiction of the Port of Astoria and is also the base of the Coast Guard Air Station. One important detail about this airport is that it doesn’t have any flights. Previously, AST used to have flights and routes to Portland International Airport operated by SeaPort Airlines until 2010.
During its early years, Astoria Airport used to have flights from West Coast Airlines. In 2010, AST served 3,482 passengers and while the airport was categorized as a commercial service general aviation, it was changed to a non-primary based commercial service in 2010.
Best Time to Visit
Astoria Regional Airport also services cargo fights from Ameriflight with destinations to Portland and Tillamook. AST is one of the most accessible airports located on the northern coast of Oregon. Astoria residents can reach the airport in just a couple of minutes. Aside from Astoria, AST also serves several towns including Long Beach, Ilwaco, Ocean Park, Nahcotta, Oysterville, and Seaview.
