Bora Bora Airport is an airport operated by the SETIL- Aeroports that services flights in the area of Motu Mute in Bora Bora as well as other regions in the French Polynesia and its nearby towns and villages. Also known as Motu Mute Airport, it is located on the small island of Motu Mute where the name of the airport was derived from. BOB-Motue Mute in Bora Bora, French Polynesia opened in 1943 during the Second World War. It became a commercial airport in 1958 after reconstructions in the runway were completed.
