The Canadian Tire Centre is located in Ottawa, Canada. It is a multipurpose arena that opened in 1996. Originally named The Palladium, it was later renamed into the Corel Center and later as Scotiabank Place, before it was given its current name. The indoor arena is mainly used for ice hockey and is the home of the Ottawa Senators. It also served as the home for the Ottawa 67’s. Other sports teams who have called the Canadian Tire Centre home include the Ottawa Wheels, Ottawa Rebel, and the Ottawa SkyHawks. Aside from ice hockey, the Canadian Tire Centre is also often used to host concerts and other sporting events. Construction on the arena started in 1994 and it opened to the public in 1996. The arena can seat up to 18,6245 people and it covers a floor area of 600,000 square feet.
