Carlisle: Getting Away in the Eastern Countryside of Texas
Known as an unincorporated community in the county of Trinity, Carlisle, Texas is home to under a hundred residents as of 2010. Its name was derived from John Carlisle, a resident who founded the mills in both Carmona and Carlisle areas. On the contrary, you can come by in the city in December, especially during the annual Texas Viking Festival and Skaldic Althing held in the Valkyrie Ranch, Paige, around two to three hours from Carlisle.
