Casablanca is a Spanish term which means “White House”. Found in the Atlantic coastline of Morocco, this is the largest city with the busiest port. For a lot of people, the city means romance because of the 1945 romantic film set in this beautiful city. Compared to its neighboring towns, Casablanca is more modern and developed. Every March, Casablanca celebrates the Festival of Urban Culture. It is a non-religious event that showcases talent in the city. Casablanca Festival happens in July that is a celebration of art and music. The best time to visit the city is between July and August where the weather is warm and pleasant. It is best to avoid the months of November to February because of rainy weather. Hotels are a bit inexpensive during these months.

Downtown Casablanca area is filled with Moorish buildings and traditional Moroccan design. Visitors spend the time in Quartier Habous.
