Cocoa Expo Sports Center
Cocoa Expo Sports Center is now known as Coastal Florida Sports Park. This multi-sports facility is situated in the town of Cocoa, Florida. Athletes of different sports and experience levels can play and practice in the sports complex. The facilities can fit and improve their expertise in different sporting activities so the athlete could be able to move to the next level. The sports center features baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, weights and more. For 21 seasons, it was the training ground for a major baseball league team called the Houston Astros. The baseball field is newly renovated. It has over 5000 seat capacity. There is also the $35,000 square foot that cost about $5 million. It includes an indoor field, football, and soccer. There are also 14 battling cages.
The sports complex is located in the heart of Cocoa town. Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science is 14,950 square feet which house artifacts from the town. Cocoa Village Playhouse is located in the downtown area. This opened in 1924 and it is part of US National Historic Places. Another great way to explore the town is via the Indian River Cruises.
