Dubrovnik Airport is also known as Čilipi Airport after its location in Čilipi, Croatia. As an international airport, DBV Airport offers flights to more than 14 countries and serves as maCiny as 43 airlines. It is the third busiest airport in the country, especially during the summer season when tourists book leisure flights to Europe. Dubrovnik Airport traces its roots back to being a seaplane station of the Yugoslavian airline Aeroputin 1936. It was not until 1962 that what is now known as DBV Airport started its operations.
Best Time to Visit
Dubrovnik Airport, whose local name is Zračnaluka Dubrovnik, is now busier than ever with cruise ship guests and Games of Thrones fans, having served as the filming location for King’s Landing. Within the airport, one can also find the famous Đurović Cave, a wine cellar that has been transformed from a cave. The airport has three terminals – Terminal A which has been turned into a baggage sorting facility, Terminal B for arrivals and Terminal C for departures. Dubrovnik Airport has 16 gates, 14 of which are used for international flights. DBV is the airport of choice for those who wish to visit Bosanka, Osojnik and Mokošica.
