Es Castell: Small Town with a British Vibe
Nestled in the Balearic Islands on the eastern Menorca, just 1.9 miles from the capital, is the small town of Es Castell, Spain.It is the earliest town in Menorca and was once considered as the most strategic town on the island. In late July, the annual Es Castell Fiesta is celebrated in town.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the main attractions is the Castell de Sant Felip, a fortress guarding the entrance to the port of Mahon. It dates back to the 16th century and is one of the most massive fortresses in Europe. The Fort Marlborough is another attraction in town which you can have a walk through its tunnels, and visit its rock-carved rooms adorned by figurines.
