Fukuoka Convention Center is operated by Fukuoka Convention Center Foundation and is a three different collection of the establishment in Fukuoka, Japan. The first building is the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, which was opened to the public in 1981. It is the venue for the annual Sumo Tournament that attracts a lot of tourists and is usually held around November. The second building is the Marine Messe Fukuoka that opened in 1995. This building is mainly used for indoor sports events that can cater to almost 15,000 people. It can also transformed as a concert venue that caters to 13,000 audiences. The third building is the Fukuoka International Congress Center that opened to the public in 2003. Local and International conferences or other business ventures are catered by the center.
Kasuga, the nearest city in the center offers different hotels and leisure activities you can enjoy. There are a lot of hotels you can find near the center. One of it is the Smile Hotel Hataka that offers a 3-star hotel service in an affordable price. Hotel Ninestates Hakata is also a 3-star hotel that offers affordable rooms. For fun activities, Fukuoka Marine World offers an underwater adventure in the three different aquariums used for dolphin shows, a sea lion show and shark display. Fukuoka Municipal Zoo and Botanical Garden on the other hand, is the home of animals with 168 species. Lastly, you can drop by at the oldest Kawabatadori Shopping Street that sells gift products and souvenir items.
